Never Again Treblinka
Since World War II, one of the rising ideals in Judaism is increased political involvement. Throughout World War II, American Jews fought extremely hard for the United States government to interfere with the Nazi takeover and the Jews funded many things that helped Jews who were in Europe during the Holocaust. Since the war, Judaism has placed a huge emphasis on the need for political activism, whether it be about Israel, or anywhere else. Jews have been huge advocates for those in need since World War II and activism has become a key pillar for Judaism in the mid to late 20th century and into the 21st century as well. In the picture shown above, there is an American anti-Nazi protest in which we can see signs with statements saying, “Never Again Treblinka” and “We Will Remember 6,000,000”. These protests are examples of the way that Jews have become more politically active during the time since World War II and how political participation and philanthropy have risen to become pillars of Jewish culture.
